Helping in reducing CO2-footprint, the two firms will support efficiency via electrification, digitalisation, automation and optimised handling of soil and rock masses.
The assignment features the production of tender documents for design and construct contracts for the Djupdalen and Slätmossen interchanges.
These interchanges will be a part of the external crosslink that is being planned to be built around Stockholm, right from Haninge in the south to Täby in the north.
The assignment, which will commence this month, will run for about two years.
The two firms will collaborate to meet the requirements on innovation and sustainability.

Semcon area manager for software and emerging tech Magnus Carlsson said: “This is an interesting assignment in which Semcon can take the knowledge we have in areas such as ‘future mobility’ and make a difference in important infrastructure projects. We are glad that we, together with Ramboll, get to be involved in driving change in an exciting industry.”
Agestam further added: “At Ramboll, we are used to working with large infrastructure projects, and believe that Semcon can complement us well with their experience in automation within several different sectors.”
The goals for the project include no local emissions of greenhouse gases from vehicles and machinery; a minimum of 50% of the total energy consumption from vehicles and machinery must consist of electricity from renewable energy sources; reduced climate impact from materials; and fewer than four accidents per million hours worked.
