UK-based Caddick Construction Group has strengthened its growth trajectory by securing reappointment to the Innovation Chain North (ICN) Framework.

The ICN Framework, spearheaded by Great Places Housing Group, represents a substantial £1.5bn ($1.90bn) investment and is set to extend until June 2028.

With a selection of 103 suppliers, including both contractors and consultants, the framework is poised to support new home construction across Northern England.

The recent appointment places Caddick on three distinct lots in the framework: High Value projects (35-plus units), Apartment Specialist Contractors, and Lower Value projects (up to 34 units).

This diversification ensures that Caddick can cater to a broad spectrum of public sector housing needs across the North West, North East, Yorkshire, and the Midlands in England.

Caddick managing director Paul Dodsworth said: “Our reappointment to the ICN Framework recognises our commitment to delivering high-quality residential projects which resonate with communities beyond the final build.

“With four fantastic years of top-quality residential schemes under our belt, we look forward to continuing our work in partnership with Great Places and the ICN Framework members to deliver exceptional homes for their residents.”

Caddick’s track record within the framework include completed projects such as the Sandalwood Extra Care development for Wigan Council, the 116-home Loco Works scheme in Horwich, and the 63-apartment Kiwi Street project in Salford.

These accomplishments underscore the company’s expertise and capacity to deliver complex residential initiatives.

Caddick’s framework portfolio also boasts involvement in NEPO’s £800m Construction Works Framework and a regional expansion into the North East through Procure Partnerships.

A key aspect of the ICN Framework’s ethos is the emphasis on social value. Caddick said it aligns with this vision by pledging to offer apprenticeships, work experience opportunities, and volunteering hours during projects.

The company’s social value initiatives are part of a collective effort that contributed more than £20m in added value during the previous four-year framework period.
