Scotland’s Highland Council has contracted construction company Clark Contracts for the in Inverness, Scotland.
The regeneration project is being funded via the Levelling Up Fund of the UK national government.
The project will see the construction of upgraded facilities for large outdoor events, a renovated grandstand, and an added sports pavilion.
Highland Council Inverness City area leader, councillor, and Levelling Up Fund Programme Board co-chair Ian Brown said: “The contract award for improvements at Bught Park is a welcome one as it will ensure this important sporting and cultural facility can continue to be enjoyed by local people and visitors for years to come.
“Also, in line with the Highland Council’s sustainability goals, the works will introduce a cleaner ground-source heating system offsetting potential environmental impact.â€
The Levelling Up Fund is providing more than £20m to three projects located along the River Ness in Inverness.

Construction work is scheduled to begin later this month.
